Today is World Mental Health Day. Grab your writing tools, stretch your wrists and neck, take a sip of water, and settle in to write about mental health.

There are many ways to take this prompt, and I recognize that discussing mental health can be challenging! I will also be writing on this, and am planning to share my writing on the blog later today.

Here are just a few ideas for engaging with this prompt:

– You could explore a personal or family history with mental health, mental illness, or neurodivergence (whichever framing works best for you).

– You could write about the stigma that surrounds both discussions and experiences of mental health concerns.

– You could write about overcoming a mental health challenge, or adapting to a neurodivergence.

– You could write about the impact of silence, or the impact of conversations about mental health.
