Writing in the Margins will be hosting a trauma writing circle tomorrow for anyone impacted by this week’s tragedy in Calgary.

April 19, 2014

1:30-3:30 pm

Calgary Sexual Health Centre – 304, 301 – 14 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta

No cost, no experience necessary, everyone welcome.

This week the city of Calgary experienced a tragedy that has rippled through our communities. Five lives were lost, and many of us have been impacted by this.

This event is a facilitated writing circle with an emphasis on creating an inclusive, supportive safer space where individuals can process their emotions following this tragedy. The circle is open to anyone, regardless of previous writing experience or degree of connection to the tragedy. If you feel that you need a community space within which to process your emotions, with no expectation that you will share what you’re feeling, this may be a space for you.

There is no cost associated with this event, and the only materials required are something to write in.

Writing in the Margins would also like to offer closed writing circles for any community or group that feels they would benefit from a facilitated space for processing this tragedy. Contact Tiffany Sostar at 403-701-1489 or tiffany@writinginthemargins.ca to arrange an event.
