Writing in the Margins
Smutty Story Circle! 12:30-4:30 pm, August 19, at the Calgary Sexual Health Centre.
The Smutty Story Circle has been running for over 2 years and with the launch of Writing in the Margins, it will now be an official Writing in the Margins event!
The Smutty Story Circle is a less structured workshop than others, and involves a lot of laughing, chatting and smutty writing. It has always been, and will likely remain, free of charge.
It’s fun! It’s low-pressure! It’s open to all genders and orientations and experience levels! There’s no obligation to share your just-written work, and if you do choose to share with the group you will be met with nothing but support and positive feedback!
The goal of the Smutty Story Circle is to create a safe space for exploring fantasies and histories, desires and identities. Over the summer I am hoping to grow the group and find ways to use smut as part of a larger queer-inclusive space creating project. But mostly… it’s just fun. A whole lot of fun. And pretty hot, too.
We meet at the Calgary Sexual Health Centre while the building is closed, so if you are late or nobody is at the door, just text me at 403-701-1489 and someone will come let you in. You don’t need to have any previously written work to attend – the workshop is guided. There is a reading circle immediately after the writing workshop where participants can share work they’ve written before the meeting.
